In the Round Five Clash of the All African Games chess event , the open section saw Nigeria beat the host

nation- Mozambique with three points to one with Ajibola, Bayo Adegboyega and Bunmi Olape winning on

their respective boards while Benjamin Omorere lost on board three. the match ended 3-1 in favour

of Nigeria. The ladies played their round four today against top ranked Egyptians and fell to a 0.5-3.5 loss with

Tobi olatunji managed to draw games while Funmi and Rosmary Amadasun lost in a cheap

fashion, while Nsisong lost from a superior position.
