The Nigerian Female chess team has given Fans  many reasons to celebrate ahead of the last match of the 4th largest sporting event in Norway, at the 41st  world chess Olympiads in Tromso Norway. Gallant Nigeria Chess team leads in Group "Gold medal" Chase In chess Olympiads with five rounds to go

It is no longer news that Team Nigeria male and Female chess team  are currently  representing Nigeria at the 41st World chess Olympiads in Tromso Norway. The Male team is placed in GROUP D  while the Female team is in GROUP E based on Average ratings of the teams respectively.
The  Female team after  six rounds are currently topping their group although with a slight edge over other teams in pursuit of the coveted group prize , this is something to cheer up the enthusiastic Chess fans and followers back home in Nigeria and  all the team need do now is to ensure maximum concentration of their focus on what needs to be done to maintain the lead , from the level of performance so far and based on the strength of the Female team, they can take the first prize with ease if encouraged to keep the  team spirit  high.

The male team however seems far behind in their group but on a closer look  all the teams in that group has the same number of points having 6 match points each  and are only separated by Tie break points , a rejuvenated male team  have the capacity to overtake the rest if they reignite the form exhibited by the players during the selection process of the team at the Olympiads trials here in Nigeria, with a little encouragement  and right frame of mind the team will surely go on a good run in the last five games.
