ERHABOR David Shines at 2014 Edo state chess trials (stage one)

      Erhabor David came clear first at the Edo state 2014 National sports festival  chess team selection trials held between the 10th day of July 2014 and 12th July 2014. in preparation towards the forthcoming National sports Festival to be staged later in the year in Calabar . the tournament is the first stage of trials.
 The trials featured 30 players in all , out of which the top 10 will qualify for the next stage of Trials. The chess players at the event  includes veteran player Erhabor David,Abdulkadir Umar,Onokpite Kennedy,Oloma Ibrahim,Onyekwere Chika,Igubor Micah and Okonkwo Ifeanyi among other players, at the end of six rounds  Erhabor David came out on top with five out of six, closely followed by Oloma Ibrahim on 4.5/6, Igubor Micah who was without a loss came tied with Oloma on 4.5. while Oga Magi,Abdulkadir Umar,Onokpite Kennedy,Erhurhu Akpovire John and  Osiomwan Anthony followed with 4/6 points. the first stage of the Edo state trials was a huge success and the state is looking forward to having a strong contingent to represent her at the Chess game event  of the National Festival proper later in the year. Why Cortana got it wrong in Brazil Vs Netherlands match

 The 2014 World cup match  has come and gone, the intelligent Microsoft software, Cortana predicted a win in favour of Brazil but ALAS!! Netherlands beat Brazil by a 3 goal margin and cortana got it wrong this time after a 14 of 14 consecutive correct prediction in this world cup Final (still very impressive).
i warned my readers in  Last article i wrote on Cortana HERE that i can not put my Money on Brazil.
    Do not be too quick in writing Cortana off especially by not taking her prediction that Germany will defeat Argentina in the Grand finale match serious.  Here are probably some the reasons Cortana got it wrong this time.
1. Cortana's predictions are based on probability after taking a lot of things, factors into consideration, in drawing its conclusion it can not be 100% accurate.
2. some of the factors it considered in picking Brazil to beat Netherlands is the fact that Brazil is on Home turf since home field advantage is also a factor in Cortana's predictions.though she picked  Germany to beat the host earlier.
3. Cortana's prediction was based on assessment of Data  available to her, perhaps she did not consider the fact that that Brazil was too devastated and has probably lost the morale to fight for a third place after a heartbreaking , record breaking 7-1 defeat against the German machines, third place matches referred to as loser's final is very difficult to predict. Netherlands lost against Argentina gallantly while Brazil was completely owned. Big difference!
 Should Cortana be written off now that she got one wrong,  come on she has 14/15 ! fourteen of Fifteen is still incredible enough to believe in Cortana for the last match prediction that Germany will indeed beat Argentina, my money is on the German machines ! Though my money is on Cortana and Germany for the Grand finale , above all Microsoft Cortana should be seen as a guide and not the ultimate oracle as many are now believe, ask Cortana , she will give you her opinion but draw your conclusions and take responsibility for your actions, DON'T BLAME CORTANA !!

Cortana picks Germany as FIFA world cup winner (2014)

 Cortana with 14 of 14 in an unprecedented prediction streak has predicted the winner of the 2014 FIFA world cup ahead of Sunday Final. she has successfully predicted the winners of the last 14 matches  of the world cup in Brazil.
What is Cortana's prediction for the Final game of the world cup? Cortana has now made the prediction for the Final games of the 2014 FIFA world cup. Cortana predicts that Germany will win the 2014 world cup over Argentina and that Brazil will take the third place over Nertherland in the Brazil v Holland third place match.

Once again the Microsoft Cortana prediction that Argentina will  eliminate  Netherlands(Holland) came out correct though the confidence level of the software was low it came out correct eventually , The artificially intelligent personal assistant developed by Microsoft has accurately predicted the winner of the last 14 world cup matches. i am now wondering, where do i buy Cortana, is it available for sale? At least its not going to die of old age like Paul the Octopus, Microsoft plans to lunch the main version of the soft ware towards the end of the year, what is available now is the "test" version BETA . Now that the Grand Finale of the 2014 FIFA world cup is going to be a battle between Germany (European team) and Argentina (South American team)  we are eagerly  awaiting the prediction of our beloved Cortana . FIFA Suspends Nigeria (NFF)

Nigeria was suspended from international football on Wednesday because of government interference, FIFA said in a statement.:

The FIFA Emergency Committee has decided today, 9 July 2014, to suspend the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) with immediate effect, on account of government interference. Article 13, par. 1 and article 17, par. 1 of the FIFA Statutes oblige member associations to manage their affairs independently and with no influence from third parties.

The decision follows a letter sent by FIFA to the NFF on 4 July 2014, in which it expressed its great concern after the NFF was served with court proceedings and consequently an order preventing the president of the NFF, the NFF Executive Committee members and the NFF Congress from running the affairs of Nigerian football was granted by a High Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The said court order compelled the Nigerian Minister of Sports to appoint a senior member of the civil service to manage the NFF until the matter was heard in court, without giving any date for such a hearing. The authorities then appointed a person who decided to convene an extraordinary general assembly on 5 July 2014. This extraordinary general assembly was convened in violation of the NFF statutes.

Originally, an elective congress had been planned by the NFF to take place on 26 August 2014.

The suspension will be lifted once the court actions have been withdrawn and the properly elected NFF Executive Committee, the NFF general assembly and the NFF administration are able to work without any interference in their affairs.

As a result of this decision, no team from Nigeria of any sort (including clubs) can have any international sporting contact (art. 14 par. 3 of the FIFA Statutes). During the period of suspension, the NFF may not be represented in any regional, continental or international competitions, including at club level, or in friendly matches. The most immediate effect is that Nigeria will not be entitled to participate in the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup (5-24 August 2014) should the suspension not be lifted by 15 July 2014.

In addition, neither the NFF nor any of its members or officials may benefit from any FIFA or CAF development programmes, courses or training during the suspension period.

Microsoft cortana predicted 12 of 12 FIFA world cup football match result correctly !!

 

 Since Paul the Octopus the supposedly psychic octopus  who died in 2010 , became a world wide sensation when he made his mark predicting the outcome of Football games correctly predicting the winning team in eight of 2010 world cup matches  including the Final . Cortana is the hero of the moment surpassing  the Octopus, Who is Cortana? What is Cortana?  She has been predicting the result of world cup matches correctly, particularly at the knock out stages,(The prediction features just went live for the world cup's knockout stages she predicted that Germany will edge out Brazil before last night humiliating defeat of the Samba boys (Brazil) !! It also predicted that Germany's win over France,Brazil  over Colombia, Argentina over Belgium and Netherlands over Costa rica.  It is stunning the world with her incredibly accurate (12/12) predictions of winners of world cup matches ! Cortana has not lost a bet yet. The digital assistant predicted  the German national team would get the win  over Brazil in yesterday's match  and despite Brazil being a strong host she was right again!!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
