This is to Invite you to the 34th Nigerian breweries PLC International chess open Championship schedule to hold on 6th – 13th November 2011 at the sport hall National stadium complex, Lagos.

The play categories and entry fees of players are stated below

CATEGORIES ENTRY FEES

FIDE/Master section =N= 1500:00

Category I =N=1,050:00

Category II =N=850:00

Ladies Category =N= 950:00

Under 14 Boys =N= 350:00

Under 14 girls =N= 350:00

Veterans =N=1,050:00

SWAN =N= 350

NOTICE

Registration for all categories will close on Friday 4th November 2011 at 4 PM This is to enable the Technical officers enough time to prepare the entries and start the competition as scheduled .

Late entries will strictly attract a fine of =N= 500:00 (extra fees) per player for all categories. No entries will be allowed after the first round, Every Participants are also expected to obtain the Nigerian chess federation player’s Identity card the cost is =N=250:00 per player.

Arrival Sunday 6th November 2011

Competition Monday 7th – Saturday 12thNovember 2011

Time 9 am daily

Closing ceremony Saturday 12th November 2011

Departure Sunday 13th November 2011

All participants are responsible for their transportation, accommodation , feeding and other welfare during the championship. Participants are expected to come to the tournament with their chess set and chess clocks. State chess associations, chess clubs and educational institutions are free to enter any number of players.

Dressing code

All players and guests are expected to dress decently and smartly to the tournament venue , sleeveless wears will not be allowed.

NO HIGH HEELS/ STEEL HEEL SHOES please.

Only flat sandals/ shoes, sneakers would be allowed into the hall. This is to avoid causing damage to the newly renovated sports hall.

Your usual co operation is highly solicited to avoid any embarrassment on entry into the tournament hall. - Edited by GM Akinov

Insulting. Obviously, we haven't moved on from last year. No mention of prizes. Id card again???

@ CM Charles Campbell, you are very correct, we have not moved on from last year!! why should the prizes and rules not disclosed it is a pity, how long shall we continue like this and what is the use of an identity card without a proper rating system?
